Though my body lay ash in a box,
I am still here.

As I once was the giver of life,
Now I live through my children,
And their children,
And theirs on down.

When they grasp your hand with their mouth to show you something.
It is me.

When they whine and sing and talk a dog story.
It is me.

When you see them raise their heads,
With nose to the wind,
They are not conscience of my presents,
But you will know.

I am in every dog who moves like a dream around the show ring.

I am in every dog who gleefully goes for a ride.

As I took on the World,
I now take on the Heavens.

And should time pass and you do not see me for a while…

I am still here,
As long as I am remembered.
